Community Kick-Off

Our Community Visioning Workshop brings residents together to think about how they want to live as a neighbourhood. The goal is simple: helping people meet, exchange ideas and shape a shared vision for their community. Through guided conversations, residents explore common values, possible traditions and ideas for the future. The workshop lays the foundation for a neighbourhood where people feel connected and enjoy living together.

Process

Before the Workshop:
The first two steps are free of charge and allow us to test interest in the neighbourhood. If enough residents want to participate, we move forward together.

01

Kick-Off Meeting Owner / Operator

We begin with a kick-off meeting to explore your vision for the property, establish the budget for communal initiatives, and define the desired outcomes of the project. This ensures that the project is aligned with your goals and allows us to act efficiently and autonomously throughout the process.

02

Resident Participation

We contact the residents*, briefly introduce the project and invite them to participate. Together we find a date that works for as many people as possible in order to achieve strong participation.

We also create a shared chat platform where ideas can be exchanged, information shared and important decisions coordinated. This ensures that residents* are involved from the beginning and become an active part of the process.

The Workshop:

03

Setting the vision

To kick off the project, we start with a keynote that inspires residents and introduces the key principles of co-creation. The talk emphasizes how a community thrives when members actively contribute their time, energy, and resources.

By involving participants early and showing the value of their contribution, the keynote sets the tone for the project and motivates residents* to take part in shaping their neighbourhood.

04

Co-creating a plan

After the keynote, the co-creation phase begins. Residents* cook together, get to know each other and then develop ideas in small groups for shared activities or better ways to use the common spaces.

The goal is intentionally simple: two or three realistic community events or initiatives that fit the building and are very likely to succeed. The community then votes on the most popular ideas and decides which ones should be implemented.

Impact:

05

Action-Plan

There is an action plan that translates the shared ideas into concrete steps. It outlines a timeline for projects, activities and neighbourhood initiatives.

Deheim supports residents* not only conceptually but also operationally to ensure the ideas are a success and no one becomes overwhelmed. Regular meetings help track progress and move the shared vision forward step by step.

07

Marketing Material

The workshops generate authentic photos, videos and insights into the emerging community. Property owners* and managers* can use these materials for tenders, marketing and branding of their properties.

Projects can also be featured on our website, where people actively search for community-oriented housing. This helps highlight what many residents* are looking for today: homes with real neighbourhood connections and social belonging.

06

DEHEIM Report

The report summarizes the values, goals and ideas developed by neighbours* during the workshop. It documents the shared vision for the community and serves as guidance for its future development.

It also includes feedback and impressions from residents*, showing how the newly created interactions and activities are experienced in everyday life.
